Family fun time

I just wanted to do a quick post before bed. Nothing craft related but still beautiful!
We had a wonderful family fun filled day. We started at our local county fair. Really expensive but more than worth it to see my kids smile.
Then we ended our day on the shores of Hilo bay! We had a family get together for my sister in laws birthday. Good company, good food, and good weather. Amazing day!
I hope everyone had a great day too!

At it again!

I cant believe it has been 2 years since Ive posted anything. But Im back and ready to go.
In the past 2 years I have spent time with my 2 wonderful children and supportive boyfriend. Work and family consumed all of my time therefore leaving my crafting for on demand items! I have started making jewelry more and even started selling Thirty One bags. I took some time thinking I was ready to blog and started a selfhosted website but found that I should stick to this.
I look foward to sharing with everyone my adventures and crafts/creations.

Pumpkin patch

Hello everyone! This is my first time postin from the blogger app... I hopd it works! This past weekend my family and I had a great time out country. We stayed at a friends house in waimea and went to the kohala and hpa pumkin patch. My daughter had a blast.
As for crafting. I have taken a slight turn in prep for my return to work. I love statement jewelry but dont have the money right now to buy much. Therefore i made some. I tried making simple feather earings and a paper ring. I used the modpoge to make the paper hard. Any suggestions to get the paper more plastic like?
Sorry the post was so long. Take care!!!

update on my crafting

Its been a while since I got a chance to really sit down and read everyones post and post some of my projects that I did when the kids were sleeping. Motherhood has taken me by storm, especially with a one year old that acks like shes 14! Seriously!!! :) Right now I have put crafting to a little stop while I work on organizing our house, schedule, life, etc. But my idea book is filling up with things that I plan to do once time comes around!!!

The first card is one that I did right before going into labor. I had scrap paper all over and therefore made a very simple 4"x4" card. Kiyomi was colored with bic mark its, the scrap paper was from my moms birthday card (DCWV citrus stack), and the gems are from target
I I made this next card for my BIL's birthday. The patterned paper is from the DCWV luxury stack, the fish was cut from the pagoda cricut cart at 2 1/2" and the ribbon I got from BF. (Note:  I did flip the fish later so that it was facing upward but forgot to take another pic)

Last project is focused on my christmas presents. I bought $1 notpads from BFC that I thought would  be perfect to decorate and give to people to keep in their purses! This was the first dry run!

Sorry the post was kind of long!! Now I better get going and seperate and organize the childrens clothes. My daughter is growing way too fast! She just got into size 12 months and shes too big for some of them already.

Thanks for stopping and by and for all the support.

Welcoming our handsome baby boy!!!

On September 14th 2011 we welcomed our baby boy Ryder into the world! He was about 3 months weeks early but he thought it would be the best time to introduce himself. Even though he was early he still packed some length and weight. 6lbs 10 ozs 19 inches long. If that wasnt enough to keep me busy with my one year old, we just had our home termite tented and need to do a major clean up with that. Weve been staying with my sister till we can be absolutely sure it is safe for my two little ones to return home. Lets just say that it is VERY difficult to live out of a suite case with a newborn!!!
Anywho, cant wait to finally get home and get a schedule going for us. Also, were looking for a place to rent here in hilo for our family of four if anyone knows an affordable home.

Thanks for stopping by,

a pair of butterflies!

My daughters birthday is finally over with and I couldnt be happier with how everything turned out. Of coarse my brain was not working to its fullest potential....Meaning, I didnt get my camera going till the party was almost over! :( I am hoping that some of my guest were able to take some awesome pictures so I can add them to her scrapbook.
Anywho, I made these butterfly cards a few weeks ago but just havent had the time to post it.

I was so excited to use the chalks that I purchased from the Island Scrapbooking rummage sale.
It was awesome! This was my first attempt at using chalks therefore I didnt know how to keep the chalk from going all over the place. The orange butterfly is covered with Glossy Accents and surrounded with my silver liquid pearls. CS from DCWV citrus stack.

The purple butterfly I used the versa watermark inpad and embossed it a few times till the butterfly began to fold over. I actually like the effect the embossing was giving it. The CS used is from the dollar section at target.

I enjoyed my new supplies I got from the rummage sale! Cant wait for the next one! :)
I have a few more things on my list TO DO before I can start crafting all the things I want to! One of those TO DO things is giving birth :). Well, if you have any suggestions on working with chalks please let me know!!! Have a great monday.

Altered notebook and birthday cards

Hey everyone! The count down is getting to an end soon, just a few more days till my daughters birthday party. Cant wait for it to come and be over with. Then I can concentrate on welcoming my little baby boy into the world! :)
I seen alot of videos on youtube with altered composition notebooks and since walmart had a huge sale on all the left over school supplies I couldnt pass up $.20 1 subject notebooks. This is my alteration that I now use for all of my craft notes!
Then last month there were a few birthdays that I needed cards for. My boyfriends mothers birthday was begining of august. She likes elephants so I used the Birthday Bash cricut Cart and some dementionals I got from Walmart. The paper was from Target. Simple card but I just loved how cute the elephant came out!!

Another birthday last month was my moms. Her color is yellow and since I knew she would love anything I create, I tried to use a different style of card.... Lol I just designed as I went along! I used my sister stamp colored with my bic markers. The paper is from DCWV Citrus stack and the flower is cut out with my Pagoda Cricut Cart.I also had some oragami paper and used that just to give a nice shine to the card. The sentiment I used is from the CTMH stamp set that came with the Art Philosophy Cart. My mom loved it, in fact, she does want to take it off the entertainment center! :)

Im so excited to be almost done with my daughters party things, then I can go to crafting more! I just got me some hair color copics so I cant wait to post up some of my images colored with them!
Have a great week.
